Managing Your Tags
How to view, search, filter, update, and manage all of your QrioTags from the tags list page.
Once you have activated one or more tags, you can manage them all from the Tags page — your central hub for viewing, searching, filtering, and updating your tags.
To get there, click "Tags" in the main navigation or go to app.qriotag.com/dashboard/tags.
What You Can Do
Search Tags
Find any tag instantly by name or QrioTag ID using the search bar at the top of the list.
Filter by Status
Narrow your list to show only ACTIVE, LOST, STOLEN, FOUND, or DEACTIVATED tags.
View Tag Details
Click any tag to see its full profile, QR code, scan history, and status controls.
Update Status
Mark tags as Lost, Found, or Stolen, or deactivate and reactivate them from the detail page.
Download QR Code
Save a high-resolution PNG of any tag's QR code for printing or sharing.
Delete a Tag
Permanently remove a tag from your account from the Danger Zone on the detail page.
The Tags List
Each tag card in the list shows:
- Item name — The name you gave the item (e.g., "Car Keys")
- QrioTag ID — The unique identifier (e.g., QRIO-A7K2M9P4)
- Status badge — A colored badge showing the current status
- Tag type — What kind of tag it is (Keychain, Card, Pet, etc.)
- Last scanned — When the tag was last scanned (or "Never")
- Total scans — The number of times the tag has been scanned
Searching Tags
Use the search bar at the top of the list to find a specific tag by:
- Item name (e.g., "car keys")
- QrioTag ID (e.g., "QRIO-A7K2M9P4")
- A partial match of either (e.g., "keys" or "A7K2")
The list filters instantly as you type.
Filtering by Status
Use the status filter dropdown next to the search bar to show only tags with a specific status.
| Status | What It Means | Badge Color |
|---|---|---|
| PENDING_SETUP | Tag created but profile not yet completed — click to finish | Yellow |
| ACTIVE | Tag is working normally — linked to your account and ready to scan | Green |
| LOST | You have marked this item as lost | Red |
| STOLEN | You have reported this item as stolen | Dark Red |
| FOUND | Someone has reported finding this item | Blue |
| DEACTIVATED | Tag is turned off — scanning it shows nothing | Gray |
| EXPIRED | FREE 5-year period ended — upgrade to PRO to reactivate | Orange |
A tag in PENDING_SETUP is waiting for you to complete its profile — click it to finish setup. EXPIRED tags have reached the end of their free 5-year period and need a PRO upgrade to become active again.
Viewing Tag Details
Click any tag to open its detail page, which is organized into four sections.
Updating Tag Status
You can change a tag's status from its detail page.
Marking as Lost
Click "Mark as Lost" to change the status to LOST. This activates finder notifications and reward options. See Lost & Found for the full process.
Marking as Found
Once a lost item is recovered, click "Mark as Found" to return the status to normal. See Lost & Found.
Reporting as Stolen
Click "Report Stolen" to mark the item as stolen and create a theft alert. See Lost & Found.
Deactivating a Tag
Click "Deactivate" to turn off a tag without removing it from your account. A deactivated tag exists in your account but shows nothing when scanned.
Deactivating a tag means anyone who scans it will see nothing. If you are giving the item to someone else, consider transferring the tag instead.
Reactivating a Tag
If you deactivated a tag by mistake, click "Reactivate" on the tag detail page to restore it.
Downloading the QR Code
Useful for printing a replacement sticker, adding the code to a lost-item flyer, or sharing the code digitally.
Go to the Tag Detail Page
Click the tag in your list.
Find the QR Code Section
Locate the QR code image on the detail page.
Click "Download QR Code"
The QR code is saved as a PNG to your device.
Deleting a Tag
Open the Tag Detail Page
Click the tag you want to permanently remove.
Scroll to the Danger Zone
Find the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.
Click "Delete Tag"
Click the red "Delete Tag" button.
Confirm the Deletion
Confirm in the popup dialog to complete the action.
Deleting a tag is permanent. The tag is unlinked from your account and all its profile data, scan history, and messages are lost. The physical tag will no longer work when scanned. This cannot be undone.
If you are giving the item to someone else, use the transfer feature instead of deleting. Transferring preserves the tag data and lets the new owner take over.
